Recently, there has been an uproar in the angling community after a group of poachers were caught foul hooking barbel in a popular fishing spot. The incident, which took place in September 2022, has left local anglers fuming and calling for stricter enforcement of fishing regulations.
One angler, in particular, went ballistic when he witnessed the poachers in action. He reported the illegal activity to the authorities and provided evidence that led to the culprits being apprehended. In a statement to the press, he expressed his outrage at the blatant disregard for the rules and vowed to continue to be a vigilant guardian of the local waters.
As a team that values fair play and conservation, we stand in solidarity with the angler who brought these poachers to justice.
